As the preparatory works started at the church for installing a heating system, an older stone floor was discovered underneath the existing modern level. An archaeological mission was carried out to record the floor and carry out further investigations beneath it. 

Agreement was reached in consultation with RIC members, supervisors, consultants and archaeologists, which is based on a reversible conservation solution.

Works are expected to be completed by mid December.

The supply of marble was delivered to site from Greece at the beginning of November and works commenced immediately. The works are proceeding according to the expected programme.

Beginning of works: Laying of marble slabs starting from the entrance of the church.

Furniture has arrived at the priest’s house at the Church of St Nicholas in Prishtine/Pristina through kind donations of the US Embassy, and US Aid implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
